Madeline Bury received her BA in Sociology of Law from Wilfrid Laurier University in 2016 and will soon receive her MA in Sociology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her Masters research was funded by the On The Move Partnership and focuses ethnographically on work, gender, retirement and mobility. She is currently a team member on the Placentia Bay Ocean Debris Survey (PODS) where she applies a social science lens to issues of plastic pollution, local knowledge and adaptation, and changing rural landscapes.
