Joel Finnis is an associate professor with Memorial University’s Department of Geography. He received a PhD in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from the University of Colorado, and has studied high latitude climatology, seasonal forecasting, and aspects of marine forecasting. His most recent work focuses on human relationships with weather and climate, including considerations of perception, risk communication, and marine health and safety.
