My current research interests are molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis and immunity of marine aquatic organism towards needle-free vaccine development. Research in my laboratory includes classic microbiology, molecular bacteriology, recombinant DNA, functional genomics and fish assays to identify and study key mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis and evaluate vaccine efficacy in marine aquatic organisms. Also, we are conducting research on bacteriophage biology and bacteriophage prophylaxis related to seafood safety and invertebrate aquaculture.
