Charlie Mather is professor of Geography at Memorial University where he has worked for over ten years. His work in Newfoundland and Labrador has focused on resource use and benefits associated with the province’s northern shrimp sector. He has also written on the history and politics of salmon conservation on the island of Newfoundland. His current research is associated with this OFI large research module on social licence and planning in coastal communities.
