Choyon is a MA student of two-year thesis route program in Environmental Policy Institute (EPI) at Grenfell Campus of Memorial University. He obtained Bachelor and Master degree in Sociology from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2007 and 2008 respectively. He worked as Associate Coordinator (Research and Advocacy), research associate, field research investigator and research officer in various projects of different development organizations. Under the supervision of Dr. Paul Foley and his committee member (Dr. Charles Mather), his current research project focuses on “Examining the relationship between transnational eco-certification, social license and community: The case of aquaculture”. His research interests broadly cover environmental policy, environmental sociology, and environmental governance.
